Tuesday is Oldies Day

Yes, Tuesday is the day  I go to Nanni & Granda’s whilst Mummy goes to work. I normally have a great time as I get their undivided attention and get thoroughly spoilt.

However, today, I was not at my best. That awful cough and cold kept me awake most of last night and I was very tired. I told Nanni that, soon after I arrived so she tucked me up in her bed ( feather mattress and pillows and all ) and gave me my muzzy, a bot bot and piggy to cuddle. I went out like a light for nearly two hours and felt much better when I woke up.

I sat in the kitchen on the worktop and ate all my breakfast followed by some grapes and apple.

After lunch of corned beef and quavers (!) I went back to bed and had another bot bot & slept for over an hour.

Woke up feeling quite happy although coughing like mad and soon got fed up playing with my dolls.

Nanni put me on the worktop by the sink to watch the birds and then she gave me some glass buttons to play with.

Note, she’s done my hair AND put in a slide!

Umm, quite good fun but I’m glad Toby arrived so that I could help him play on the computer!!!!!!

CHRISTMAS DAY 2009

Nanni has finally uploaded some photos so I can show you some of the presents I had.

To be honest I’m not sure what it’s all about; the boys woke up really early on Christmas morning and when we went in the lounge there were all these funny shaped parcels wrapped in coloured paper. Seemed a bit daft to me cos as soon as they saw them they ripped off the paper. S ’pose I will understand one day.

There were lots and lots of parcels for me and Mummy & Daddy helped me unwrap them. Some pretty cool toys there were and I didn’t know what to play with first. There were also some new books which made funny noises and had different pictures in them. I will look forward to reading them later with Granda or Nanni.

Then we went to Nanni & Granda’s for dinner and guess what? More parcels in huge bags.

Mine had a big rabbit on the front and the boys had Father Christmas.

There was a pink unicorn sticking out of the top but there was also this enormous pink parcel sitting in the middle of the sitting room.

What could it be?

Only a dolls cot! One that was made for my mummy 36 years ago. Granda got it out of the loft and renovated it just for me.

It rocks and everything.

Guess what I found inside?

A new Dolly called Maisie. See how her outfit matches mine?

Better Photos

Nanni has now uploaded some better pictures of me with bunches. She says it’s difficult to get a decent photo of me as I’m always moving. Well, there is so much to do and so much see I can’t wait around for the wrinklies.

I will start with me & Mr Piggy enjoying a quiet bottle. Hair is not in bunches but Nanni put some slides in which does keep the hair out of my eyes even if Mummy doesn’t like the look.

Piggy is really comfy but he is getting very old – look at his head.

Perhaps it’s cos I keep kissing him & sitting on his head.

This is the tiger they brought me back from holiday and it’s nice but I love old piggy who once belonged to my Aunty Georgina. She gave it to Olli, who gave it to Toby who gave it to me! Recycled!

I’ve Got bunches

Mummy has been saying for ages that my hair is getting long and she decided to see if it would go up in bunches. Now, I’m not kidding when I say it hurt – she tugged and pulled and put these round stretchy things in my hair but

it Was worth it – LOOK

Umm, not the best photo Nanni – it’s blurred but you can get the idea. Here is another when I was busy with my new cooker.

 

This is a better one of the cooker – pretty isn’t it but Nanni caught me doing  my silly walk.

Do you like these garden ornaments Nanni bought recently? I love them especially Freddy the frog.

Here I am giving him a BIG kiss – Aaah. They are  now in Nanni’s porch by the front door.

Bit Of A Social Whirl

It’s been a while since I updated this blog but I’ve just been too busy.

Still, better late than never so …………………. here goes

We went to Rob & Lindsey's house warming party and it was a lovely sunny day so I wore my yellow sundress with a pretty bow on the front.

Needed a bit of a rest after that so thought I get my pens and drawing book out of the toy box.

Brotherly Love!

I simply love colouring and try to keep inside the lines.Nanni was hoping that I would take after her and be left-handed but no, I’m not.

On Saturday we went to a picnic in the park on the banks of the river Teign.

and Olli made me laugh.

 

Nanni loved the jazz band

but she said they were very young.

A time to relax and chat and enjoy the view for Mummy’s colleagues.

A long, long queue for the fish & chips then -

the sun went down over Dartmoor and we went home.
